What is my ring size?

At Be Golden we have a large selection of great rings! When you have found a nice ring online, it is of course nice to choose the right ring size so that you receive the right size at home in one go. Below we have selected the best methods for you, so that you never order the wrong ring size again!

Method 1: Use a suitable ring.

You can easily determine your ring size by measuring a ring that fits well. This ring can serve as a handy reference for the size of your new ring. Place the ring on a ruler and measure the inner diameter in the middle. The number of millimeters you measure is the size of the ring. In the example, this is 18 millimeters. If you choose to measure your ring size this way, it is best to use a ring that is similar to the ring you want to buy. Wider rings can feel tighter than thin rings.

Method 2: Measure yourself with a string or ribbon.

You can easily measure the circumference of your finger yourself with a piece of tape or string. Make sure it feels comfortable, so that your finger is not wrapped too tightly. Make a mark where the tape or string meets. Then measure the length with a measuring tape or ruler and look up your ring size in the ring size chart. If your exact size is not available when choosing your ring, choose the nearest larger size.

Tip 1: It is best to measure your ring size on the finger where you want to wear the ring, as the sizes of your left and right hand may differ.

Tip 2: If you plan to order a wide ring (approximately 1 cm wide), choose half a size larger than the size you measured with our handy tools. Wide rings are often smaller than narrow rings. For a narrow ring (approximately 2 mm wide), it is advisable to order half a size smaller.

Tip 3: If your hands are warm and swollen when you measure your ring size, measure again when your hands are at a normal temperature. This will give you a more accurate result.

Tip 4: Keep in mind that your hands can swell more in the summer than in the winter. This is important to consider when measuring your ring size, so that you can wear your new ring in any season.

Tip 5: If you often have to take your ring off for work or sports, don't choose a size that is too small. It is useful if you can easily put the ring on and take it off.

Tip 6: When measuring your ring size, you may have an in-between size. In that case, it is wise to round up and choose the larger size.
