Method 1: Use a ring that fits you well.

You can easily determine your ring size by measuring a ring that already fits perfectly. This ring can serve as a useful reference for your new piece. Place the ring on a ruler and measure the inner diameter at the center. The number of millimeters you measure is the ring size. In the example, this is 18 millimeters. If you choose to measure your size this way, it’s best to use a ring similar to the one you plan to buy. Wider rings may feel tighter than narrow ones.

Method 2: Measure your finger with a string or ribbon.

You can measure the circumference of your finger by using a small string or ribbon. Make sure it feels comfortable and not too tight. Mark the point where the string or ribbon meets. Then measure the length with a ruler or tape measure and look up your size in the ring size chart. If your exact size isn’t available, choose the closest larger size.

Tip 1: Always measure the finger on which you’ll wear the ring, as your left and right hand may differ in size.

Tip 2: For wide rings (about 1 cm), choose half a size larger than your measured size. They often fit tighter. For thin rings (about 2 mm), choose half a size smaller.

Tip 3: Don’t measure your ring size when your hands are warm or swollen.
